About Me

Hi, I'm currently traveling in Guatemala and Mexico until mid-May when I return to the US to start my summer job in Alaska as a cook in a lodge in Denali National Park.

I love to be outside and be active. I love helping and teaching other people, cooking and baking and sharing awesome food with others. I often pick up new hobbies and I like to try new things. I try to keep a positive outlook on life; I'm quiet at first, but once you get to know me, I won't shut up... hopefully in a good way, but I have been known to ramble and take too long to tell a story. ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to support the idea of couchsurfing and the couchsurfing community!

Interests

My biggest interest is food! I love to cook, bake and prepare many kinds of foods, and I love learning to make new foods ! I also love to stay active... hiking/trekking, yoga, and SUP are some of my favorite ways to do so. I love to be outdoors and try new activities! I also love music; love to sing and I have been working on learning to play the ukulele for a few years though I don't really find much time for it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hike the entirety of the Pacific Crest Trail (2,650-mile in the US that goes from the Mexican border to the Canadian border through California, Oregon and Washington)!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook and bake; preparing and sharing food for others is one of my biggest passions.

I can help you with your English (I was an ESL teacher for about 10 years).

I can help you with your garden or compost pile.

I love singing and jamming on instruments.

I like to learn about how people in other parts of the world live!

What I Can Share with Hosts

This seems redundant; I think I covered this in the previous box!
