About Me

My name is Jennifer, and I am 23 years old. I am currently in grad school learning how to teach English to non-native English speakers. I plan to travel as much, and as often, as I can for the rest of my life using this degree ( I graduate in April!!). I grew up in a small town in Alabama, which is why I want to get out as much as possible. On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, my family thinks I am insane for wanting to travel, as they never want to leave the small-town life. I am looking forward to meeting and connecting with people from all over the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about this site on Pinterest when I was looking up how to backpack Europe on a budget, because I am broke. So broke. It seemed like a fun way to meet new people and see the world for cheap, while also not being completely touristy and seeing a new city from a local's point of view.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm in love with Ed Sheeran. His music is top notch. I love anything from classical music and operas to hip hop/pop music. My music list on my iTunes is the most random thing you will ever see, and the only thing you won't find on it is country music.
Disney movies are my go-to. I pretty much like any kind of movie except a horror film. I enjoy movies made from books, but I might criticize them for being wrong.
The Harry Potter Series is my favorite by far. I've only read them through about eight times. Completely normal. I also love the classics from Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters, too, though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing was pretty cool was when I was in Israel after I graduated from college. We did several amazing things, but one was hiking up Ein Gedi in 120 degree weather. It is the tallest mountain I have hiked, and definitely the warmest weather I have ever been in.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am in school to be a teacher! There is still a lot for me to learn about teaching, but if you want me to, I'll do the best I can.
I love learning about new cultures, which is one reason I love to travel. I love learning as much as I can, really, which is why I'll probably be in school forever.
