Well…I was born in Hollywood, CA to music-loving parents. Thank God for that. My mom says that Stevie Wonder was my first favorite artist, as a baby I would crawl to the speaker and dance. I still love him. All is Fair in Love is a song that can rip my guts out at any moment. I love songs like that.

I grew up in southern california but feel a great connection to the south. I feel a great connection to many places around the world and a severe wanderlust to travel to all of them. I am a capricorn who loves the sky and the idea of how much space their really is out there. I love palm trees and oak trees and weeping willows. I paint them and take pictures of them and find comfort in them. I consider my friends the best part about my life. I adore my dad, mom and sister and find myself striving to make them proud of me all the time. I have an english bulldog named Rufus, who I love more than I thought possible. He is an angel and a monster and a best friend in a fur suit.

I love so many things, but what I love more than anything is MUSIC. Music saved my life, inspired my life and made me feel like I was never alone in this beautiful world. My heros are songwriters…some of them include: The indigo girls, Patty Griffin, John Lennon, Ryan Adams, Joni Mitchell, james Taylor, Julio Iglesias, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Sarah Mclachlan, Tom Petty, The Judds, Sade, Jackson Browne and Glen Hansard.
I am sure I left some out of that list, but this can’t go on forever…

I do not think there is anything more powerful than someone writing a song that makes another feel less lonely. To make people feel understood and not alone is the greatest thing anyone can do for another, as far as I can tell.
I am a traditional singer/songwriter who dances a bit on the country line. With my music, I hope to make people feel things. Remember things. Love things. I hope to inspire others to share their view of the world, life, love, heartache and redemption. You never know who you will save by doing so.
