About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm an introvert/wannabe extrovert. I love to try new things and go new places but I'm also a planner and researcher ahead of time if possible. I have a cool husband who introduced me to all things geeky. I'm somewhat artsy and have a simple but weird sense of humor. I'm a homebody with wanderlust. I like meaningful conversations, connection with others about the things that matter most to them, and I like a good story.
PHILOSOPHY
I live life to love others because I was first loved by God.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've joined, experienced being hosted by others, occasionally come on here to read some of the discussions, look forward to future experiences, and I recommend CouchSurfing to everyone!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'd heard amazing tales of Couch Surfing. So my husband & I decided to give it a whirl for the first time when traveling to San Diego for Comic Con a few years ago. It was a great way to connect with people as I was touring Christmas markets in Europe as well!
My husband logs on way more than I do, admittedly. But I do enjoy reading the emails from Couch Surfing, coming on here to look at the discussion, scroll through the latest needs, and I always am an advocate for CS after the amazing experiences we had our first time around. We had awesome hosts, and couldn't have asked for a better first-time.
Interests
Art, movies, animals, books, Sci-fi, music... honestly, basically everything fascinates me. So, you name it, I'll listen to it or read about it or experience it with you. :)
I love learning about culture and history and how things and people in this world connect.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love almost EVERY movie I see! Perks of Being a Wallflower, Moulin Rouge, Tree of Life, Firefly, Evita, Tommy Boy, Star Wars (original trilogy), and can I give a shout out to a favorite TV series? - BSG, Spooks, and Pillars of the Earth
Books: Red Rising Trilogy, Wuthering Heights, Nazi Officer's Wife, Forgotten God, la Biblia. But since I have a short attention span, I also have to say Im a huge fan of National Geographic magazines!
Music: Indie, synth, pop, rock, folk. A little bit of everything really.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sold EVERYTHING and moved from the United States to Europe.
Teach, Learn, Share
Life isn't about ME; but I want to enjoy the ride. I don't want to miss a thing, especially peoples' stories: who they are, where they've come from, why they're here, and who they want to become. This is our world. I want to learn everything I can about the people and situations around me so I can better understand how to love.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We have a guest room with 2 single beds. My husband also uses the room as his office for working remotely occasionally during the week.
You're welcome to use our fridge, washer, pillows, blankets (just give me a heads up what you need). Depending on our schedules, we may be able to provide you some snacks/meals and join you or show you around.
We don't have any pets. No smoking.
