About Me
Hey :D
I'm Jenny, 19 years old, was born and grew up in Germany. After I graduated from "High School" in Germany I went to Chile for a year of voluntary service.
Now I live in Düsseldorf and am studying social science's at the local University.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Besides of getting to know the culture through working and living with chileans I also want to travel threw whole Chile. I am always looking for an adventure and I love meeting new people because thats the best way to get to know the world. Since I'm living in a host family I can't offer a couch to surf but if you have any questions or want to meet and talk about stuff I'd love to here from you.
Interests
I love food. It sounds a bit weird calling that an interest but I think food and eating in general is an important part of every culture. I also like every kind of adventure and there really aren't things I wouldn't at least try out. Hanging out with people from all around the world, listening to their stories, maybe cooking something together and planning the next trip sounds perfect to me.

Music, Movies, and Books
While I do like mostly every kind of music, always depending on the situation there are some songs or bands I always love to listen to. "The Red Hot Chili Peppers" or the german Rockband "Die Toten Hosen" are part of that list, as well as Bob Marley and Jimmy Cliff, Pat Metheny, The Beatles, Safri Duo and other Artists that always have accompanied me. Still normally I am listening to more mainstream stuff like 5SoS, Imagine Dragons, Honne, Kygo, Alle Farben, Klingande, Maroon 5, Lukas Graham, Avicii, Disclosure or some german artists like Kraftklub, Seeed or Cro. As you can see I could talk hours about music.
Even if I'm kind of an adult I still love to watch Disney-Movies, the old fairytales and the new not-animated ones. I also like to watch any kind of action or fantasy movie but still books are more important to me than movies.
I have read and loved Cassandra Clare, J.K. Rowlings, Stephenie Mayer, Cecelia Ahern, Isabelle Allende, Simon Beckett, Bettina Belitz, Jennifer Benkau, Dan Brown, and so on. I can't really remember names of authors or books, I am mostly just "eating" the books so I've read hundreds and just don't remember their names. Still I love all the classics like Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Wilhelm Busch or childrens books from Astrid Lindgren, Erich Kästner, Cornelia Funke and so on.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My time in Chile was the most amazing year ever. There is not this one thing that was absolutely perfect but the way I got to know so many different people and even learning a lot about myself made it a very special time.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning new languages and I am always up to helping others with learning german, englisch or spanish
