Hi, I'm Jen. I enjoy learning and trying new things. I'm big into the outdoors, camping, kayaking, hiking, and gradually learning more as I go. Backpacking is still fairly new for me, so I'm expecting some bumps in the road. It took me a while to realize things that matter and to let go of little things that get in the way. One of the things I haven't made time for has been traveling so I'm excited to connect with the cs community.

Music, Movies, and Books

Generally top 40, little bit of country, EDM, and R&B.

Movies, either lighthearted romantic comedies, ‘cause who doesn’t like to laugh, and to balance it out, psychological thrillers and dystopian dramas.

I tend to read in spurts, being in school, I push the lighthearted reads until breaks. The majority are nonfiction, autobiographies (like Born A Crime, by Trevor Noah had me laughing out loud in public) or topics of interest, such as mindfulness and neurobiology.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Survived my first backpacking trip to Colorado this year! The stillness, being surrounded by mountains, and even just eating fresh raspberries was a tremendous experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I grew up associating celebrations with food. To this day, I have an interest in baking and cooking, and being able to share a meal with others.
