About Me

We are a very easy going family from northern California (Silicone Valley). We love to travel and love to meet new friends. You can say we are dream chasers. In the past few years, we have taken advantage of our son’s school breaks (Thanksgiving, Christmas, summer break etc.) to travel to a few dream locations that we have talked about for years. We’ve traveled to northern Finland inside the Artic circle to catch the illusive Aurora Borealis, and rode the Husky ride and the Reindeer ride. We didn’t find the real Santa Clause, but we did get a good peak at the majestic northern light. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience. It’s hard to describe it in words, but one couldn’t help but feel humbled and ecstatic at the same time under such magnificent Aurora. If it were up to us, we would have stayed for another week just to be under that celestial glow (and to take a few more dips in the icy river to go with the Finnish sauna!!)

Another dream vacation spot that we were fortunate enough to travel to was Bora Bora. We stayed at an overwater bungalow. The bungalows all have a special sliding glass coffee table installed in the room, which allowed us to see the schools of fish congregate and feed in the small lagoon directly under our room. Since all the Bora Bora resorts are protected inside the large circular atolls, the water was very calm and we swam right under and around our bungalow along with the fish, and sometimes even with the stingrays as well. There were some other interesting water activities at Bora Bora that we tried as well; we snorkeled with the sharks (not the large hungry white sharks, but smaller well-fed sharks) and fed the stingrays at waist deep water. It was amazing how calm and azure the ocean water was. Bora Bora, along with a few other south Pacific atolls and Maldives will always be on our list of must-visits or repeat-visits.
