I love meeting new people while I travel and making those human connections that really shape your outlook on the meaning of life. I've been very fortunate to have traveled to a lot of different countries, for 1 day-5 months at a time, for various reasons. Lately I've been struggling with getting to travel as much as I'd like due to that job-thing where they actually make me earn the vacation days I spend so well! The nerve! ;)

I've lived in Lynnwood, WA (northern Seattle area) for 3 years and bought a house in 2015; before the Seattle area, I lived in Portland, OR for 6.5 years. I live the Pacific Northwest because of it's people, coffee, beer, wine, and most of all the plethora of outdoor activities it provides. I enjoy hiking, backpacking, scuba diving, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, boating, biking, skiing (downhill/alpine), beer tasting, hanging out, and reading or watching a movie to unwind from the previous activities. Obviously I love the outdoors, and am open to doing or trying anything! I may not be the fastest or most graceful or athletic of a bunch, but I have an endurance and toughness and drive that tend to get me through most anything.

In terms of couch surfing, I'm very low maintenance and get along with most people. I'd love to see places with a local, but I can also choose-my-own-adventure. Sometimes I might be shy, other times I might be the most outgoing...where I fall on the scale typically depends on the other personalities around me...and how much coffee I've had :)
