ABOUT ME

I am excited to meet new people. I have a good sense of humor, I am an excellent planner and organizer and I love to go new places! I love making the lives of my friends easier and more convenient so that they have no worries when I am around them or when they are visiting me. I love taking pictures to remember every moment of my journey through life. I don't want to forget a minute of any day, so I try to keep a journal, especially when I travel!! I miss being able to see the stars at night, living so close to the city of Baltimore.

PHILOSOPHY

Its all about the journey, lol, it really really is. I know its so cliche! But I have experienced it first hand so I cant say more than that.

Interests

I love australia, birds, and my job at the local poison centre. I cant wait to save up enough vacation time to go back to Australia!!! I garden, have had pet parrots and love trying new food. My favourite local treat is tart frozen yogurt, which is everywhere here in the Maryland area. I have lived in the US for most of my life and really want to make connections with other people in other countries. I am somewhat of a science nerd! I like laying on my hammock in my backyard when the weather is nice.

Music, Movies, and Books

Dont really read after going to too many years of school, I have a large collection of movies (even a personal Australian movie collection!) and pending my ability to hook up my DVD player to the TV I would be happy to watch movies with someone! I like most current music here in the states (I know, boring), also Weezer, 90s rock, Everclear, anything Aussie, I am so sad Powderfinger broke up!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. I finally got to see the Southern Cross in Mt Bundy, Northern Territory- a 12 year old genius pointed it out to me- it was my third trip to Australia in my life, and this was the first time I had actually SEEN it and not just been confused by the mass of stars up in the beautiful Australian sky

2. Climbing Mt. Warning- the most eastern point in Australia to see the sun rise. It was so hard and I wanted to give up. But finally getting up there and seeing the sun made it all worthwhile. Just gorgeous, and to know I was one of the first people in Australia to see the sun that day just made me smile.

3. Riding on Jemma, a sassy camel, on cable beach at sunset in Broome, Western Australia. On one side you have the most gorgeous sunset you have ever seen over the most calming waters, and then on the other you have Australians and tourists alike with their 4x4s rocking out to music and BBQing and just having the time of their lives. There was so much to make me smile all around!
