About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Loving and enjoying life

ABOUT ME

Hey there! I`m Jen. I have lived the past few years in Bremen, so I would call it my home base at the moment. I am an open minded traveler and I enjoy the company of other open minded individuals.
I have got long pink hair and I absolutely love my hair colour!
I am enjoying life with all its up`s and down`s and try to make the best of every moment.I love exploring nature, experiencing the World, meeting people from other countries, expanding my horizons... I am more quiet than loud (most of the time, but not always).
I worked the last years as self employed Yoga teacher and fitness Trainer. From February 2013 till about July 2014 I am on a world trip which will take me to South&North America, Asia, Australia& New Zealand, Fiji Islands and the Caribbean. In this time I will be an useless host, but I hope to increase my experiences as a couch surfer.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a great gift! Make the best of it and enjoy every day!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I read an article about couch surfing in a travel magazine which immediately made me join the couch surfing community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am quite new with CS and opened my flat for travellers in summer 2012. I have been warmly hosted by great and friendly humans in Brazil, the US, Australia and Canada. Hosted a couple of wonderful couch surfers from all over the world before I left Germany for my World journey in February 2013.

Interests

Well, like most people from the couch surfing community I love travelling and visiting other countries and cities.
Besides that I love reading, visiting fleamarkets (to find crazy and unusual things), cooking sessions for/with my friends, listening to music and audio books, taking photos, spending time and hanging out with my friends...... I am a fitness freak so I love doing sports and yoga but I also can enjoy being very lazy, laying all day on my couch sticking my nose into a book while I am drinking tea and eating loads of chocolate...mmmh!
I am interested in art, especially street art and I started to take pictures of extraordinary street art in the cities and countries I have visited. You can find me in a museum, an art gallery, in the theatre but also at a rock concert, a festival, in the cinema or in a pub or café. Actually I am open for lots of things and I enjoy life....
Other things I am crazy about: Fairies, goblins, mermaids and all kind of fairy and mythical creatures, butterflies, hindu gods, frogs, the Muppets and Fraggles, Pippi Longstocking, pink&purple......

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to many different styles of music; always depends in which mood I am. I don`t really like most this mainstream stuff you hear on the radio all the time. I love Rock Music from Punk Rock to Rock`n Roll, 60ies, Crossover, Metal, Alternative.... but I also enjoy electronic music like Drum`n Bass, Ambient, Jungle and so on. I also like to hear classical music, world music, mantras and chilling music and singer/songwriter stuff. At the moment my heart beats for Eleronic Swing.
Books? I love reading! Some of my favourite books are The Picture of Dorian Grey (Oscar Wilde), Siddharta (Hermann Hesse), The Neverendindig Story (Michael Ende), The Alchimist (Paulo Coelho), The Fine Balance( Rohinton Mistry...bla bla... it would break the mould to name them all. I like the works by TC Boyle, Tolkien, Lovecraft, Hesse, Isabel Allende, Tad Williams, Poe, Wilde..... that´s enough or this list will never end!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Feeling, experiencing and seeing India with all its colours and intensities.

In return for sleeping on your couch, I can give you yoga lessons. If you are not so keen on sports or Yoga, I could prepare you a scrumptious and tasty vegetarian or vegan meal...
