Overview
About Me
I love to travel, to explore new places, being spontaneous and getting a feel for the unknown - i have a huge sense of adventure and curiosity. I want to see and experience everything and get the most out of life.
Some of my other passions in life include science, the environment, and beer.
I now also have a beautiful baby boy, Eli. He is now 8 months old (as of November 2017) and is of course my newest travel companion. We are usually 3 - my fiance Andrew, Eli and I.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meet new people, learn about local life, never know what's next.
Any time I have a home-base I am looking forward to hosting and getting involved with local couch surfers... I owe this wonderful community many wonderful experiences as a guest!
Interests
I love nature, and so enjoy outdoorsy activities - mostly hiking, but also sailing and horse riding if I ever get the chance. I am quite outgoing and like trying out new things so I try not to let opportunity pass me by.
I enjoy going to see live music and having interesting conversation. I know how to party when necessary, but my ideal night would be something like a cozy jazz bar chatting with friends - or more often lately people I've just met!

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a range of music from rock to folk to jazz/swingy stuff... Forever evolving.
I must admit I am not much of a film buff (although I do enjoy watching), so my most used sentence when people talk about films tends to be 'ahh yes, I don't think I've seen that one'. I have never given enough time to it I suppose. Anyway here goes some favourites: Pulp Fiction, Requiem For a Dream, Lord of the Rings (all), Some Like It Hot, Inglorious Bastards, Snatch, Spirited Away. And it's not a film, but Doctor Who!
When faced with the question of 'favourite books', I often find myself momentarily stumped. For a start, because I am a total book worm and I can't think of where to begin, and for a second because I have such an appalling memory that I'm always thinking I must have forgotten countless books that blew me away at the time of reading. But such as life, here's a list: A Thousand Splendid Suns & The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini; 1984 by George Orwell; The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak; Cold Comfort Farm by Stellar Gibbons; Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep; The Hundred Year Old Man who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson; The Millennium Trilogy by Stieg Larsson; LOTR; The Game of Thrones Books; I could go on...... My 'intending to read' list is probably even longer.
