I'm from Vietnam, currently studying in Scotland. I've been living in the UK since 2010, and will be remaining here for a few more years. After that, let's see where life takes me, but I would love to tick as many countries as possible off my list of travelling destinations.
I love a bit of everything, literature, language, music, sports, etc. but food is my passion. My travelling is centred around food - I'll go and live in anywhere with good food and genuine people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To me visiting a place doesn't mean seeing all the attractions, it's about getting to know the people, the culture, and of course, the cuisine. Couchsurfing is a wonderful platform where you and I can share our perspectives and experiences of a place, which would be impossible to gain if we decided to stay in a fancy hotel instead.

Interests

Food - I think I've mentioned this way too many times, but, FOOD.
Cooking and eating all different types of food, understanding the flavours, ingredients, methods. To me, food is the best way to understand the culture. We all eat, right?
Books - any book available to me, I'll read it. Perhaps not Fifty Shades of Grey (which I've read, and deeply regret), but other than that, anything.
Travel - anywhere I can go to (and I can get visa to).

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: too many, but the works of Tarantino, Nolan, Riley Scott, Wes Anderson, Ken Branagh and Kubrick are some of my favourite.
Books: 1984, Brave New World, Pride and Prejudice, Americanah, Harry Potter series, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Handmaid's Tale, Things Fall Apart etc. Also, at the risk of being pretentious, some Shakespearean plays.
Music: I listen to various genres, but Arctic Monkeys and the Black Keys are two of my favourite bands.
