About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am doing a Masters degree in Global Security and Strategy through the University of Glasgow in Scotland. Right now our masters cohort have just finished a semester in Dublin, Ireland. We start studying in Prague, Czech Republic in September. Next spring, I'm heading to Vienna to work in a think tank, researching EU security. I'm in an AirBnB in Northern Ireland on the coast right now for a month, with two friends from my degree programme. I also love art and photography. I've been studying expressive art at the Glasgow School of Art. I used to study musical theatre as well, in Scotland!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hosted Lyyli from France some years ago via Couchsurfing. But on my travels around the world I have unofficially 'couch-surfed' in Panama on the way to Santa Catalina for some of the best surfing waves in the world in the Pacific, in Malaysian Borneo on a two day trip up river to Gunung Mulu National Park. I was taken in by a lovely family as a guest of honour overnight.
Interests
I love music: jazz trumpet, blues, soul, gospel, mediaeval, reggae, motown, many things.
Art: I love getting messy with oil paints and photography too.
Taking risks, microlighting, jumping out planes, visiting many new places.
I love keeping fit, I've had a bike here in Ireland since January, been loving getting out on the hills.
Swimming in the sea a lot too, even the Irish waves!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Acting on stage in front of a packed audience,
sitting on top of an German mountain amongst the wild flowers on a summer day whilst watching paragliders drift down behind Castle Neuschawnstein in Bavaria,
being overtaken by a Quaker family in a horse and cart one night in rural Pennsylvania,
the spectacular snowy view from the top of an Austrian mountain,
spending Carneval on a very remote Panamanian island in the middle of a mangrove, dancing the night away with the locals,
eating delicious Pad Thai in the street in steamy Bangkok (unforgettable - I'd go back to Bangkok just for that!),
diving in the Caribbean,
being hustled in the medina of Marrakech.
Teach, Learn, Share
Whilst I do this Masters degree, I aslo teach English online.
Mostly right now it's to business people in France and Germany.
But I'm also teaching English to job seekers in the UK via the wonders of Zoom.
