Overview
About Me
Clean and tidy adventure lover. Somewhere between quiet and out-going. Professional equestrian and amateur motorcyclist. Full-time optimist. Travelling with my boyfriend, a good-natured guy on the quieter side.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've driven all over North America and was lucky enough to stay with people I'd never met before (friends of friends) or people I'd met along the way. I found it so uplifting to have these perfect strangers open up their homes to me, to converse with me, and suggest places to see or things to do. I fell in love with this idea of people who travel with strangers or stay with strangers as a form of community. I find that the trust and openness is amazing in this day and age.
Interests
I love art, music, travelling, and the outdoors. I love a good road-trip, ideally with an ever changing itinerary. I love yoga and running, and of course riding horses. I really love naps. And cookies.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't think I could actually pinpoint one favourite anything - it's so dependent on so many things and it changes from day to day. That being said, Rebecca Solnit's A Field Guide to Getting Lost is such a beautifully written exploration on the ideas and interpretations of losing oneself - it's definitely up there.
And as for music, my tastes run the gamut from Buck Owens to Gram Parsons, Townes Van Zandt to Justin Townes Earl, Dale Hawkins to Wilson Pickett, 13th Floor Elevators to The Black Angels, Skinny Puppy to Ty Segall, Danzig to Hot Snakes, Saint Vitus to Electric Wizard. Most evenings are spent at home listening to records.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I quit a career in fashion to pursue a dream I'd harboured since I was a child but had dismissed as "not a viable career option" - working with horses. I might not have much money, but I love what I do, and look forward to my work every day.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A conversation and maybe a couple meals. I make no promises on how good either will be.
