About Me
Canadian calling Amsterdam home. 🍁
In 2017, I quit a job in Vancouver (my hometown) and moved to Amsterdam to work in the exciting emobility industry and immerse myself in a new environment. By day, I contribute to developing sustainable transportation worldwide; by night, my energy's focused on building a dance community for West Coast Swing in Amsterdam.
I strive to constantly learn about different cultures, religions, and ways of living. I also do believe that every place has its own way of being beautiful and every story has its own way of teaching something... so with this, travelling and staying with locals is truly the best way to achieve this goal!
P.S. If you're also part of the AIESEC OR WCS networks, we'd get along!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting like-minded people and living locally. Couchsurfing is the perfect way to make new friends (you!) and at the same time enjoy the city the way that the locals do. I can't wait to meet you and explore your city, or show you around my (newly adopted) home!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
"Amazing" is subjective, but I have to say that living in Morocco for 2 months is something that I will never forget. This includes my 6 weeks teaching at a cultural centre in Casablanca's Sidi Moumen neighbourhood and travelling all over the country while I'm at it! (I know, it's sort of cheating making it this broad but it's hard to narrow it down, y'know?)
Teach, Learn, Share
I taught piano for 5 years, so if you've got a keyboard hanging around then I'd be more than happy to teach you a couple tunes!
Down to learn the guitar, been trying to self-learn it sporadically for a while.
I can also teach the basics in Bachata/West Coast Swing!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Fun adventure stories, compare & contrast between Canadian/Dutch culture and your own, knowledge about the electric mobility industry, partner dance lessons in West Coast Swing, and a genuine interest in what you're all about!
