About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to fill my house with quirky travelers!
ABOUT ME
I don't know how to describe myself with witty one-liners. Basically, I'm trying to live a conscious and fulfilling life, and for me that means traveling, fighting for social justice, connecting with others, pursuing creative endeavors, and keeping a sense of humor and wonder through it all!
I've been living in Chicago for almost four years and am feeling pretty "settled" here for the time-being, though I have a nagging itch to travel. Whilst I formulate my next destination plans, I want to meet YOU!
I'm 27 and have a fairly regular 9-5 type job at a non-profit, and enjoy my evenings and weekends immensely. I live with two amazing males (1 human, and 1 feline) and one female (also feline). The 4 of us share a pretty sweet apartment, and I like to spend time at home, when I can. The two humans in the house are vegan.
My usual at-home activities include vegan cooking, reading, doing yoga, dancing around my apartment, playing the piano, snuggling my kitties, playing board/card games, watching movies or good television series, travel planning, and DIY projects.
When I'm not at home, I like to ride my bike, go to a few local bars for craft beers and/or cocktails, drive out to the country, have intellectual discussions, hang out with kids (not mine), go see films, see talented people perform, walk by the lake, and participate in the occasional march/protest.
I love to hang out with good company, learn about other people and places, and generally, just have a good time with people I like, times full of good conversation and laughter (and probably red wine).
Also, I am queer, and if you'd like, we can talk about what that means! My place is a safe space for any LGBTQ-identified folks. Anyone who has issue with that probably shouldn't stay here...
I also speak Spanish and am always looking for opportunities to practice!
PHILOSOPHY
Co-create your reality; live a life you love.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've couch-surfed before while traveling in Europe, but now I'm really just interested in being a host - hoping to meet some great people and offer them a comfortable place to stay!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had an amazing couch-surfing experience in Paris. I felt like I was immediately treated as a cherished friend and was able to experience the city in a way I could not have on my own. Even if I never see my hosts again (but I hope I do), I'll always remember them and their immense kindness.
