I decided to quit my management job to travel the world about 4 years ago. working as fruit picker, waitress, horse trek guide, gardener, Aupair-loved it all. Experiencing new places, cultures, listening to people's life stories, learning languages is what made my days. Being part of that amazing couchsurfing community allows me to travel in a way that makes me happy every day :) There are so many beautiful people on this planet! Back home for now, I’d like to give a little back from what I had the incredible luck to receive over the last years.

Travelling is all about the people you meet - far more important than any sight seeing attraction. Going to an other country for me means getting in touch with the locals/ living like the locals, talking to strangers, listening to their stories and experience their culture off the beaten tourist tracks.

Going on a 26km hike in the Kimberleys, getting lost midday in 40degrees heat without water or any shade, halfway losing a travel mate - everyone survived learning important lessons about hiking in Australia
Living 3 weeks on a sailing boat with an international crew of 8 sailing from Cairns to Cape York and hitch hiking back to Cairns because the Captain had too much rum
