About Me

I'm sometimes told I'm too meticulous, but I call it thorough. I prioritize most things according to aesthetics. I tend to see the good in people. I prefer to operate at a fairly slow pace in order to absorb more from life. Acting tough my whole life turned me into a tough person, but luckily it didn’t steal my nurturing nature or my empathy. I’m far more concerned with the whys and hows than the whos, whats, wheres and whens and this can make me appear absent minded. I’m proud of the level of spatial and kinesthetic awareness I have. I fancy myself an artist, but I’m not sure of what kind. I’m constantly looking for a new perspective.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently narrowly escaped the clutches of the 9-5 arrangement and was awarded the opportunity to take some time off and explore the extended geographic area in which I live. Couches are cheaper than hotels and they have owners, the likes of whom I'm given the opportunity to meet. I'm pretty shy and this will provide me the opportunity to make the human connections I'm hoping to make during my lifetime.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too extensive a subject and too varied a response to write about on this site. In a nutshell: the stuff that stirs the deepest sediments of my soul.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Birthed, cared for, and aided in the development of, two of the best human beings I know- my kiddos.

Teach, Learn, Share

Not sure what's meant by this section's title, but here go my thoughts: I feel relatively qualified to teach and share information in the arenas of psychology, health and nutrition, fitness, grammar, and mountain biking. I'm looking to gain more knowledge in all of those subjects and also the areas of electricity/energy flow through humans, Buddhist and/or ancient teachings, skateboarding, yoga, aerial acrobatics, car mechanics, breakdancing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Deep and insightful conversation, friendship, genuineness, alcohol, thanks, artwork, house cleaning, yard work, hand-mending, button-sewing-on-ing. Other mundane things around your place that you don't like doing yourself. Anything that would involve me getting to use a power tool.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
