About Me

Hello! I'm Jenny and I'm a graphic designer living in Los Angeles. I'm an OG southern Californian girl. I'm a vegetarian leaning towards a vegan diet. I love nature and all the access to different terrain in California, but also loves what the city offers. I also enjoy making things although I haven't done it as often as I would like. I love checking out arts & culture related things, visiting art museums, going on hikes, going to concerts, finding new delicious places to eat, as well as enjoying good coffee! I'm an introvert, but I love low-key things like chatting over coffee and going for a nice walk, over going to a club if you catch my drift.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friend told me about Couchsurfing and it sounded like a great way to meet diverse, friendly folks from other places! It sounds like a fun, generous community to be a part of. I would love to share cool places about Los Angeles with travelers, as well as make new friends on my personal travel adventures!

Music, Movies, and Books

I feel like my musical taste is constantly shifting - there is so much music to enjoy! I really enjoy indie music, like Sufjan Stevens, Animal Collective, the Sea and Cake, Eleanor Friedberger, Gillian Welch, Leon Bridges but also oldies, like old gospel music, the Beatles, and am open to other genres. Been getting into 90s hip hop like Nas and of course we all love Kendrick Lamar.

TBH have not been reading anything much longer than a digi news article much lately, but I'm currently slogging through a Tim Keller book, called Every Good Endeavour.

Kind of recent movies I've enjoyed include Black Panther, Isle of Dogs, and Paddington 2.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driving a road trip from LA to Portland on my own. My personal self-growth, as a human being.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can be a good listener, take you to my favorite breakfast spot, or go on a nice hike in the LA area.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a good listener and would love to hear about your CS experiences and can share my experience about Los Angeles. I can teach you to make a tasty vegetarian breakfast burrito and some Korean food. I can talk about graphic design, which is quite a niche topic, but hey, I can!
