About Me

Hi there :)

I’m Jenny and I’m German. I live in Saxony (East Germany), about 2 hours driving from Berlin away and close to Dresden. Currently I work as an Au Pair (nanny) and live with a host family in McLean. I explored the D.C. area since August 2015, so I already know some special places. Let me know if you are in town and want to hang out – I’m more than happy to show you around. I love the area of Washington D.C, especially because of the great CS community here!
What can I say about me.. I like to be productive with my time so I'm pretty organized. My passion is planning events and meetings any kind. Something I could do for my whole life ;). But anyway I'm very spontaneous and always up for crazy actions.
I’m very open minded. I love trying new things (to do, to eat, to think of), interacting and getting to know people more than just under the surface. I’m very talkative.
I like to do Sports – go running (if it’s nice outside), work out, play Volleyball (*_*) or … whatever it is I’ll try. And…
I LOVE to travel… EVERYWHERE :)! Just walking around in a new area, discovering new places and exploring a city with it’s special charm is just great.

HOW I CAME TO COUCHSURFING?

I’m very interested in languages, that’s why I wanted to participate the International Language Exchange Dinner, which always popped up on my Facebook. So one day I just went without knowing anybody. The group adopted me very well. I went home with knowing to have some new international friends and to be part of this cool Couchsurfing group.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First...because I still believe in the true good of human!

Of course have to be careful. But in my opinion you can listen to your gut feelings, don't act unconsidered, take a tiny risk and experience a culture from up close, seeing what "the local" eats, how they live, what they do.

Second... the best part of meeting new people is exchanging experiences! I'm greedy for travel stories. I like to motivate people to got to places I've been and tell them everything I know about it.
Meeting new people is always a good change to get inspired to change/ to pep up your own life.
Sharing stories, teaching and learning this way for me is a great way to give new heights to my travelling.

I've done many amazing things in my live already.
Especially all my trips in the U.S. with all those friendly, genuine and caring people I met!

I'm open for everything :)
I would love to pick up some words in a different language.
