About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See the world - which we have booked, in the process of planning (not too much but not too little either) we have limited time so want it to be productive). This is our 'taster tour' to see places we want to possibly move to in the near future for our next adventure.

ABOUT US - Jenny & Ben

We live together currently in Glasgow after meeting n Croatia nearly 4 years ago while I was travelling through Europe and Ben was on holiday for a festival. If you want the full story we can tell you - friends are always surprised by how it happened!

Ben is an engineer and I am a kitchen designer/ project manager. We enjoy eating, cooking, drinking & making cocktails, wines, taking in local culture, travel - our mission is to see a new country for each year we are alive (yes we are on target!) And we both enjoy music of various genres. We are keen to meet new people and socialise with them too.

Our world trip will start in Toronto, over to the Haida Gwaii Islands and down to Vancouver Island, over to Vancouver then down to Seattle, Portland, and make our way towards San Fransico and on to LA via the coast. From there we loose hours in the sky flying to New Zealand to explore the gems in the southern hemisphere, and over to Brisbane, Sydney & Melbourne. Then for the last leg which will consist of a weekend in Singapore then Cambodia & Vietnam before heading back to Europe. My Dad is building a house in France, aged 72, so I will help him and learn some of his skills - he used to be a boat builder. Ben is likely to go back into reality for a bit before we decide where we start the next adventure.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life for the moment

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hoping to meet friends - which we have done, and learn about some new cities, both by hosting and staying. - We have been fortunate enough to host guests and very much enjoyed this, we've found it a great way to meet people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Meeting friends we wouldn't normally meet from all over the world, and their friends too. One of our guests put us in touch with a girl he'd met on a previous 'couch' he came back for the weekend too while she was here and we all had a great night out.
