ABOUT ME

Professionally, I am a qualified bookkeepr, but don't let that put you off. I like to think of myself as an explorer, an explorer of life and all it has to offer. I like meeting new people and making friends. I value friendship very much. I like to bring something special into my friend's lives and friends definitely enhance my life. I love adventures of all kinds and want to have many more to add to my extensive life experiences. I consider myself warm hearted and a fun loving gal!

PHILOSOPHY

I love learning new things about our world and about people. I believe that you shouldn't put off something that you can do today, and to try and do something new often.
I believe if something is meant to be, it will happen without you having to force something and I do not like to manipulate situations to how I want them to be, but to accept them as they are. If I am unhappy about a situation, I will however do all I can do improve it for the better, for me and for those around me.
If I can bring something good into someone's life and to make a difference then it has been a good day.
I strongly believe that we are here to bring something better into the world and other people's lives and not just for ourselves. I think that everything I have is not mine alone, but to share with others who need it. This includes my time and material things. If more people could think like this, we would definitely be living in a different kind of world. But I am not here to change the world, just to make a difference where I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was introduced to CS by a couple of friends who are CS's. As soon as I saw this I knew it was for me as I love to travel and love to meet new people and I think couchsurfing will be a great way to enhance this. I enjoy sharing the good qualities of life which includes my home, the area that I live and experiences that I have had throughout my life. I like to experience different cultures and I appreciate the life styles of individuals

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couldn't have wished for a better couchsurfer than my first. It was incredible, better than I could have hoped for. Looking forward to meeting again and also my next cs's arriving

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all genres of music and appreciate the artists for what they have done.
I also love films, all sorts of films although I don't like to watch horror films alone. The first film that I remember that I really loved was a film called badlands. I like to watch films more than once. I very much liked Meet Joe Black, Moulin Rouge, Pirates of the Caribean and I am a fan of "the Doctor" (Doctor Who) I think everyone needs a timelord! Apologies for this as you probably have no idea what I am talking about.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing in a cave behind Niagra Falls, hearing and feeling the power of the water cascading down.
Watching the sun come up sat on a cliff overlooking the sea and watching to sun go down looking over the beatiful countryside of Dorset.
Watching people spreading their wings and learning to fly and encouraging them to do things that they wouldn't normally do. (Watching my daughter parachute out of an aeroplane, conquering her fear of heights)
Looking up at the stars on a clear night and looking at them through a powerful telescope.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a strong faith with some amazing stories and experiences which I love to talk about. I respect other people's beliefs and like to hear about their views.
I have experienced a great deal of what life has to offer, good and bad things, and have learnt that a lot of how we deal with situations is all in our mind and if we can look at whatever it is from a different viewpoint, then all things become very interesting and you can build on that.
The mind is an amazing thing and we often are conditioned to think in a limited way, but when we look out the box, we are able to free our minds.
