Hi there! I'm so grateful to be traveling again, meeting new people to grow with, and embracing the world. I was born and raised in San Francisco, California and currently live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as a graduate student halfway through my Masters in Nursing degree to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner. I have been told I am a really chill, social, and open person as I love to spend quality time and try new things :)

I love learning from different cultures, especially since mine is multicultural (both my parents are Chinese immigrants and I have Swedish family as well), and learning from locals about new places! I like to be hardworking and always doing things like work exchanges in foreign places (recently just finished 3 months of work exchanges in Hawaii, Australia, and New Zealand). I am a pretty clean person, don't smoke, and am excited for the adventures to come!

It's always been my lifelong dream to travel and see the world, but due to COVID-19 and work/my studies, I've been unable to until the last year. I resume my graduate program in mid May after my board exams, so I want to make the best of this time before I start working (I expect ~2-3 weeks of personal time off a year) to see the world and join the CS community! Hoping to meet cool people along the way, exchange life/travel stories, and create memories together :)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Solo traveled to Costa Rica for 1 month last summer to do an environmental sustainability work exchange with locals! I spent 3 weeks without electricity, hot water, walls (we slept in mosquito cots), and wi-fi. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had, relearning that I really don't need much to be happy and survive!

I love cooking and am happy to share my vegetarian food (I eat dairy and eggs and don't mind at all if you eat meat) :)
I also have a love for music and am classically trained in piano since I was 5, played in a jazz band in high school, and am self-taught in ukulele! Currently, I'm proficient in speaking Mandarin and Spanish, but am always happy to practice and improve/teach some words.
