Surviving vet school
ABOUT ME
Hey my name's Jenny and I'm 26 years old. I'm at my final year of vet school which includes getting some hands-on experience at the clinics. Therefore I decided to go to Ireland during the calfing& lambing season. But before I'll start with all the hard work I'm going to do a little trip around this beautiful island with a friend of of mine.
I'm not a party-animal but rather enjoy drinking a glass of wine or cocktail in a nice relaxed atmosphere. To avoid ackward situations you should now that I'm a vegetarian, but somehow I've been able to survive the last 20 years and even 6 month in Spain, the country of "Jamón Ibérico"- so you obviously shouldn't worry about that fact ;-)
Mh what else? It would be wrong to say that I like to travel, because I'm actually addicted to traveling and exploring new cities and places ;-) I already did one big backpacking trip through South America (8 countries) which lastet 7 months and now I'd love to explore Europe.
PHILOSOPHY
And so impossible as they may seem- you've got to fight for every dream!
Every end is a new beginning, we just don't know it by now. - Mitch Albom
"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe." - Albert Einstein
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd love to host more often, but unfortunately I'm living in a very tiny student-flat with hardly any space for myself. But as soon as I'll get the chance to move to a bigger flat I'll definitely host to return all the favours I've recieved so far.
I started surfing during my stay in Spain to get in contact with locals and improve my Spanish skills ;-) and because it's definitely the best way to get to know the places you're visiting.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had some amazing experiences in Spain. So far I got the chance of being introduced to the Sherry culture in Jerez de la Frontera, enjoying a traditional Portugese dinner in Lisboa and visiting an orange plantation in Valencia. CS is definitely the best way to really get to know a country.
The CS spirit is amazing! When I lost my wallet (including all my money and important documents) in Madrid and had no place to go an former CS host helped me out right away and even other CSers I haven't even met before offered me their help- a friend in need is a real friend indeed.
Thank you for everything guys!
