ABOUT ME

Josh and I were married in August of 2008. We both share the same values and outlook on life. Live life to the fullest while you can. We recently finished a 3 1/2 month trek around the world seeing 13 countries and meeting so many interesting people. It was a dream we both had and decided we needed to make it happen. Now back in Madison with so many memories, stories and pictures we could write a book.. or dream of our next crazy adventure.

In our free time we enjoy spending time outside biking, hiking, running, camping, pretty much anything active. Some of our greatest memories are of spending time with the friends we've made in college and in Madison. We also enjoy life when it's a little more simple. We spend many nights playing board games and watching movies together.

While I (Jenny) enjoy spending my free time making art projects of all sorts (painting, ceramics, sewing...) Josh really enjoys playing his guitar, reading and constantly learing more about his line of work. He's a very passionate man.

PHILOSOPHY

Josh and I live our lives in the 'now'. We have met so many people who have regrets in their lives and we don't want to be 50 and wishing we would've done things differently.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Being new to CS, Josh and I believe in the quote "What goes around, comes around." Since we are starting our travels soon, we would appreciate anyone who would open their home to us. We love meeting new people and as soon as we end our trip, we plan to open our door to anyone who wants to visit Wisconsin. Along with fullfilling this dream of traveling, we also hope to meet interesting people along the way and form friendships as well.

Musica, film e libri

Jenny's favorite book is 'The Five Love Languages' by Gary Chapman. I don't think Josh has a favorite book but enjoys many topics about the environment, spirituality, and renewable energy related. We enjoy action and comedy movies and listen to a wide range of music.

The summer of 2007, Josh and I had the opportunity to travel around Kenya and Tanzania. During this time we went on 3 different safaris. It was amazing to see the wildlife so close yet very intense at times.

After dreaming for many years of seeing the world, Josh and I were able to fulfill our desire. We left our home, family and friends and spent 3 1/2 months traveling around the world. It was an experience that will never be forgotten. We learned so much about ourselves and each other and have never felt so blessed to have lived such an unbelievable dream.
