Overview
About Me
I'm a down to earth person with a positive access to life. I love nature and since 2012 I've been fortunate enough to work part time as a nature guide. Sustainability and environmental issues are very close to heart. The last couple of years I've also worked with disabled students which I've found to be a very rewarding learning experience. I grew up vegetarian and I love to cook healthy food. I gladly eat food from around the world. Different cultures inspire me and I'm very interested i cultural history.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a great way to travel and meet new people. Instead of just scratching the surface, you really meet people and are able to have a deeper travel experience and cultural exchange. I also like the community feel of Couchsurfing, that people meet and hang out together even when not travelling. It's so beautiful that people open up their homes to each other and are willing to share. It's really an antidote to some of the tendencies in the current climate.
Interests
I love music and to dance. I used to dance for the stage when I was younger, training ballet and modern dance. Lately I've been enjoying more freeform dancing like No lights no lycra, 5-rythms inspired dancing and Gaga dancing. And - of course - I also let loose on the dancefloor. I also love nature and to be outdoors, to go for long walks or just have a picnic or spend time somewhere beautiful.
I'm interested in alternative ways of growing, building as well as energy and water resource management.
Music, Movies, and Books
I really enjoy Danish films like the Pusher Trilogy, Lars von Trier films, and The celebration. My favorite American films are mainly from the late 70's early 80's like Apocalypse Now, The deer hunter and perhaps my very favorite Paris, Texas.
