Putting my best foot forward, I'd say I'm very excitable. Also, I have aural fetishes - for example, I'm always in search of good music that is just right for the moment. In general, I try to quash a realism bent by taking every opportunity to fantasize, and conquering convention by making fantasies a reality. As these things indicate, I like testing possibilities. Sometimes good things happen! : )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

On our bikes in the middle of nowhere, my friend and I were way behind schedule on our ride across the US and, in the fading light, without a place to sleep. Having spent many nights miles from any campground, we were prepared to bag it on the side of the road, knowing that our dreams again would be filled with visions of a running water (in the parched midwest, we hadn't seen a river or a lake in days...). We came upon an oasis - an elderly man named Ron driving by in his pickup. Thinking, I suppose, that two women on bikes might be overly vulnerable to the elements in rural Ohio, he offered assistance. We graciously accepted, and were treated to a delicious meal with his large family, a hot shower, and soothing rest on a plush and cozy guest bed. The night's thunderstorms evoked thankful smiles in our sleep.
