About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel the world, see its beauty, help others see it, meet incredible people, and be inspired and fearless.
ABOUT ME
I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to a Filipina mother and Italian-American father. After a brief stint in the dry grasslands of Alabama, we moved to Bedford, Pennsylvania where I spent the next 10 years in rural Appalachia dreaming about the great beyond. I spent my senior year of high school in Rennes, France, falling in love with cathedrals, art, and hours lost to good wine and even better conversations. After France, I lived in sunny soCal in the heart of Los Angeles learning about surfing, Korean BBQ, Hollywood, and dinosaur bones and pre-Columbian artifacts at the Natural History Museum. I am now proud to call New Orleans home as I try to be an expert in Aztec and early colonial Mexican art. I love to draw, photograph, see live music, play with dogs, laugh, sing, and meet new people - I have a nose for the strange and marvelous, so let's meet up and start our next adventure!
PHILOSOPHY
Someone recently told me that in Buddhist philosophy you should strive every day to fix three things in your life: ignorance, greed, and hatred. I hope every day I can be a better person and give back to others, since I have been incredibly blessed in this life. To me, life is all about passion, experience, self-expression, and making the world a better place. And if you can, to do it all with a sense of humor.

Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a specialist in late pre-Columbian civilizations, European Renaissance art, and the Spanish Golden Age. I know a lot about art and architecture from these periods and love to discuss cultural movements and theory in general. I also love to talk about music (either its history or contemporary), see shows and swap CDs. I also really like to cook and throw/participate in awesome dinner parties.
