About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have no regrets on my deathbed about that one extra day I wish I had spent traveling or that one day I wish I hadn't refrained from having dessert. I have a theory that I acknowledge may sound naiive at first but actually is quite brilliant. Love cures all. To truly understand someone and love them deeply is the highest calling in my opinion. And because I seek it so desperately, I want to help others obtain it too.

ABOUT ME

Honest, quirky, hungry, oxymoronic.

I have been working as an RN in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles for three years now. I will be returning to the University of Pennsylvania for my CRNA (Nurse Anesthesia) degree. Before starting school in May, I want to stop by as many US cities!

PHILOSOPHY

"when you say it is too late, it is the earliest time"
[paraphrased:] There was a man on his deathbed who was disappointed that he had not changed the world as he had hoped. He devoted his best years to changing the world but failed, so he instead tried to change his country. He failed to change his country, so he instead tried to change his state. He couldn't change his state, so he tried to change his city. Nothing he did changed his city, so he tried to change his family. He couldn't change his family, so on his deathbed he tried to change himself. But he realized-- had I started with changing myself, I could have changed my family, who would have changed my city, which would have changed my state, which then would change my country, and my country would have changed the world. I pledge to live by this philosophy and am always seeking to better myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I first couch surfed three years ago right after I graduated from university and traveled throughout Italy with my good friend. It was the best experience I have had even to this day. I met so many new people and learned so much! I still consider myself new to couch surfing. I will be a vagabond for a few months so I am unable to host travelers, but hope to start hosting again when I have my own place in Philadelphia. Be sure to look me up there in May!
