I just relocated back to California after teaching English and yoga in the interior northeast of Brazil. I love learning languages, connecting with locals or fellow travelers, and learning about Latin America. Sharing a good meal, wine, and conversation is one of my greatest pleasures.

Acabei de voltar para Califórnia depois de morar em Petrolina-PE, onde ensinava inglês e yoga. Eu adoro aprender idiomas para fazer amizades com pessoas locais e outros mochileiros, e aprender sobre América Latina. Passei mais de dois anos no sertão pernambucano e gostei demais do lugar e os amigos que encontrei por lá. Tenho um respeito muito grande para a cultura local, o idioma, e as pessoas daqui.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My boyfriend and I had a great time couchsurfing during our trip around Brazil and we are eager to return the favor once we are settled and have a house to offer to guests. I have met many thoughtful, socially conscious, interesting people through CS.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Danced barefoot until my legs fell off on an island in the middle of the Rio São Francisco where there is a specific style of samba that comes from this island called Samba de Véio (old people samba)

Teach: I can teach you how to play ukulele, I promise it's very easy. I am also a yoga teacher!
Learn: I always learn something about the lifestyle of other couchsurfers. I would also like to learn percussion instruments, especially the pandeiro.
Share: Food and good company go very well together.
