About Me

Hi! I'm Jenny and I'm living in Tunisia working to help develop the country's tourism industry be more resilient and sustainable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There is no better way to get to know a place than meeting someone who lives there. Therefore, Couchsurfing is ideal. I love being able to experience the true culture of a place through someone who knows it best. I've been using the platform 8+ years and have had some of the best adventures through people I have met on here. So many kind and interesting people are here together on this amazing platform,

Interests

I love to read, go on long walks, play chess, eat so much new food.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Worked in a clinic in Nicaragua, built houses in Ecuador, experienced Yee Ping lantern festival in Chiang Mai, walked the great wall, stayed in a Bedouin camp in the middle of the desert, worked in a bee farm in Mexico, seen pink dolphins in the Amazon River, did research with Ahmadiyya Muslims in Bogor Indonesia, swam in the Aral Sea in Uzbekistan, ate my weight in Khachapuri in Georgia, bathed in "therapeutic" gasoline in Azerbaijan, lived and worked in the most biodiverse coral reefs in the world in Timor-Leste, crossed the Panama/ Colombia border in a swimsuit in the Darien Gap, took a helicopter to the Tibetan border in Nepal, wore a custom sari to a Bangladeshi wedding, hung out of a train through the green tea plantations of Sri Lanka, climbed Mount Bromo for sunrise, drove through the ghost town of Farmagusta Cyprus, had the most soul searching day in Inhotim Brazil. Visited 6/7 of the world's wonders. Life is pretty damn good.

Teach, Learn, Share

" A wave of exultation swept over me. Youth – nothing else worth having in the world… and I had youth, the transitory, the fugitive, now, completely and abundantly. Yet what was I going to do with it? Certainly not squander its gold on the commonplace quest for riches and respectability – I wanted freedom, freedom to indulge in whatever caprice struck my fancy, freedom to search the farthermost corners of the earth for the beautiful, the joyous and the romantic."

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to think I have a lot of interesting stories, am very easy going, and can get along with almost anyone. I am happy to spend the whole day with you, but also am happy by myself too! Let's sit and chat for hours
