About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Go with the flow, visiting home after a long sesh in oceania.!

ABOUT ME

I absolutely hate to fill these. I'm the worst person to tell you how I'm like. But since I love to read other peoples profiles and see what they write about themselves I shall do my best to introduce myself to you guys :)

I worked as a delivery driver for 7 long years and 3 years ago I had enough and started saving some money, quit my job, sold most of my belonings and booked one way ticket to Australia. Was the best decision ever.

I'm really easy going, love everything on 4 legs, most of the time rather active, don't like just sitting on my bum doing nothing(sunbaking does not count, I'm a beach bum), I actually can get quite stressed if there's nothing to do but that's only when I'm by myself, if I have good company I'm alright with just chilling haha. I've also heard recently that my organization skills are incredible, I believe them cause I do love organize stuff, events, trips anything. These two things goes really well together I reckon. Besides all this "deep" stuff I dunno what to write actually, I love life in general and I'm living the dream. Not going home until I run out of working holiday visas :P

I've met so many incredible people in the past 17months while I've been travelling and they've taught me so much, hopefully vice versa. And I cannot wait what future beholds, new year just started. New adventures, new countries or cities. Hope to see some of you guys.! :)

PHILOSOPHY

"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I found about couchsurfing few years ago before I left my beautiful home country. First I participated few events, just to try how reliable this site was. Then I took the second step and hosted one person before I left Finland. Since then I've surfed several times, hosted events, took part to events and trips and I absolutely love it.

It's definitely not the matter of free accommodation, it's the people you get to meet. I'd rather couchsurf than stay in dodgy hostels sometimes because couchsurfing is the best way to get to know to the culture and country/city itself.

I travel solo and I find that this network is the best place to find like minded people to hang out with. It's not only about the accommodation.

Interests

Music, hiking, outdoors, food & especially cooking, wine. I cannot name that many interests because I'm super easy and kinda love everything.

  • animals

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm all eater what comes to music, only genre that I absolutely cannot digest is hard metal haha. I love watching movies, cannot name any good atm. I don't read books, at all. Wish I did, I've tried.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There's so many but this is the latest.

Visited an elephant retirement park, fed & played with them, gave them a mud bath, washed them. Watching these gentle creatures interact with each other in their natural habitat is a magical experience. I would never ever ride an elephant, here's why(Teach, Learn, Share)

Teach, Learn, Share

Why you should NEVER ride an elephant!

If people saw the videos (which can be found all over the internet) of elephants being beaten with bullhooks or electric prods, or worse, would they be so keen to hop aboard these animals for the sake of saying “I rode an elephant?” Probably not.

Electric prods and bullhooks aside, there are a variety of reasons people should skip riding an elephant and opt for more humane ways to get up-close to these creatures.

Still debating whether or not you should ride an elephant? There's more reasons you should skip the trek and head to a sanctuary that doesn’t have rides or circuses. That's what I did and I got more than just photos, I had an unforgettable experience with these gentle giants.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A bottle of wine and maybe cheese if you like? ;DD

I'm neat and easy, I smoke but not inside. I'm a morning person, normally. Trustworthy and fun, see you soon ;)
