About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Begin another graduate school program

ABOUT ME
Though I learned a lot working in Gaza and Haiti, I won't be traveling as much now that I'm going back to school (again).
I still like to meet interesting people and see different ways of living. That's why I'll always be a part of CS.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live in the moment and seize any opportunity for growth that comes my way. Health care should be an affordable commodity to every world citizen. I'm interested in helping the world become the place that we imagine it should be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted CS'ers and I've been hosted. Both ways have gone great and I've made many new friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I want to contribute to the couchsurfing community with a friendly and positive attitude.
Update 4/3/2010: Returned from Sweden, Amsterdam, and Italy. Had a fantastic time with CS'ers.

Interests

I cook Thai and Southern United States food, bake my own bread, oil paint landscapes, hike 14,000 foot mountains, white water raft, run, make new friends easily, and travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

Mountains beyond Mountains, Freedom as Development, Samantha Powers books (UN ambassador), independent films and documentaries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Worked in Nepal for a hospital and met many wonderful Nepalese people there. One friend wants me to hike Everest with him.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to make a no-knead homemade bread and how to make Southern Louisiana, USA, food. I can share the hopes and dreams of those I met in other countries. I want to inspire change throughout the world in how we view healthcare.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share what I shared when I hosted, which is kindness and acceptance towards CS'ers and everyone else.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, Nepal, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
