To travel to as many places in Europe while studying abroad!

ABOUT ME

I'm a picky eater, but I'm trying to change that! I like chocolate and spicy food especially. I'm studying to be a social studies teacher, which means that I have to be proficient in the areas of history, government, geography, and economics. I love history especially, and being in Europe is exposing me to the history of so many amazing places!

I'm originally from the USA, but I'm spending the term in the great (rainy) city of London. I like exploring and meeting new people. I would love to get immersed into a new culture and truly see a city from a local's point of view.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't like personal drama, and I try to take opportunities as they come. I like to plan ahead, and my goal for this term that I'm spending abroad is to try to get my feet wet with traveling in Europe. I'm hoping to get a taste of many countries so that I have a background for when I hopefully come back to these countries later in my life!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm just surfing right now, trying to get a hands-on perspective of the amazing European cities that I want to go to. Using CS would expose me to more culture and local life than a guided tour would do. I'm hoping that my future hosts can really expose me to the history and way of life in the city that they call home.

I would host, but I'm in a tiny one room place that I share with a roommate. There's barely enough room to breathe let alone host someone.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to surf, but I'm hoping to do it soon!

Centres d'intérêt

History in particular, but also culture, food, sports, going out to bars/clubs, i love animals, so if my host had some animals i would be in love! I miss my cats from back home. I know that I would not be able to spend very much time in the places that I would surf in, so I would like to jam in as many activities and experiences into the short time I have.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I love movies, music, and books!
I can't tolerate scary movies (i don't handle suspense very well), but I like pretty much any other movies.
I listen to a variety of kinds of music, especially alternative, rock, and pop. I would love to be introduced to ethnic and local music in the places I go to.

I enjoy reading books more than many other people my age, but books are better than tv!

I'm studying abroad in London! I've always wanted to travel and spend time in other countries, and I'm so glad that I've been able to make this dream come true for myself!
