About Me
After serving a good 2 years as a management consultant in Mexico, I finally found the courage to ditch the normal "get a degree - get a job - make a career"-path in order to follow my own instead!
This adventure started in April 2015 and has taken me so far to some very beautiful corners of Mexico (Chiapas and the Yucatán-Peninsula), Belize (a full month in an intentional community in the middle of the jungle - this place right here: http://www.sattvaland.com/), Guatemala (pretty much everything in between the tropical lowlands of the northeast and all the way up to the peak of Central America's highest volcano - the "Tajumulco") and Nicaragua (the Pacific coast, Laguna de Apoyo and for the most part the volcanic island of Ometepe). For the past 8 months, the flanks of the Maderas-volcano on Ometepe have become somewhat of a temporary home; here I found another intentional community - http://www.inanitah.com/ - where I finally found an opportunity to put my management skills to "good use", joining the leadership of this unique place.
Personally, I am very open-minded - always curious about meeting new people, learning new things or deepening my existing knowledge - and open-hearted - always willing to share what I have, know or can do, and very easy to get along with!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Part of why I am traveling is to meet interesting people from cultures and backgrounds different from mine, so that I can expand my horizon, learn new things and grow as a person.
Teach, Learn, Share
Over the last couple of years I have been diving into different areas of personal development and I am always curious about sharing my experience so far, helping others on their journey or adding to my current knowledge and level of experience.
By now, I have gathered some experience in leading the following classes which I am always happy to share with anyone who is curious about them:
1. Calisthenics (body-weight exercises; I could help you customize a program for yourself)
2. Biodynamic Breathwork
3. Guided Still Meditations
4. Guided Active Meditations
Although it is not my favorite topic in the world, I am also always open to sharing some advice on business/management matters (that is what I hold 2 degrees in and what my professional experience is about - 2 years as a management consultant).
What I Can Share with Hosts
In addition to the things listed under "Teach, Learn, Share" and some interesting conversations and "adventure stories", I am also always ready to chip in with the more trivial things in life - household chores, cooking and so on!
