I am a scientist and after a too long period in the ivory tower I wan to explore the world. Not only Europe as I have done it the last years and which does not really feels like a foreign country. I want to visit the whole world and meet people from everywhere.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing goes so much deeper than a normal holiday in a hotel. There you might visit the important places as well and a guide might tell you something about the history, but at couchsurfing you meet the people. You will learn about their life and interests. Maybe you will find something you have in common and certainly you will learn, how kind people all over the world are.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the old scifi books from the 60's and 70's. Where the future was still bright and people thought, there is life on Mars, and spaceships were as glorious as in the time of Columbus and Magellan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

With an very good friend I hiked the Hadrian's Wall Path. 135 km full of sheep poop, blisters and amazing views. We meet an American family living in the Middle East and a grumpy old Scot, who is propable the best cook in the UK. It was one of the best times in my life.
