About Me
CURRENT MISSION
It's about time to earn that master's degree.
ABOUT ME
I'm closed-minded, hard-going, don't like meeting new people, hate travelling and can't stand irony.
Don't couchsurf with me.
PHILOSOPHY
"Life holds one great but quite commonplace mystery. Though shared by each of us and known to all, seldom rates a second thought. That mystery, which most of us take for granted and never think twice about, is time.
Calendars and clocks exist to measure time, but that signifies little because we all know that an hour can seem as eternity or pass in a flash, according to how we spend it.
Time is life itself, and life resides in the human heart."
Who knows that book? :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I like German music by artists like Locas in Love, Bernd Begemann, Olli Schulz... British music by Oasis, Morrissey, Teenage Fanclub... American music by Death Cab For Cutie, Nada Surf, The Shins... And Russian music can be alright, too.
In Moscow I started to read some Russian classics: Really like Bulgakow and Gogol... Back in Germany I always enjoyed books by Kafka, Hornby, Crichton etc. I'm open-minded to nearly anything.
I just bought myself the complete Hermann Hesse collection! :)
I like TVs being turned off, but of course I sometimes appreciate great movies.
The cold Russian winter made me start to watch TV series. If I like something, then I tend to watch 7 seasons in 3 days.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I had a dream that I was the new president of Georgia. (Why should they elect me president? I've never even been there!*) As the new president I thought it's a good idea to improve the relationship with Russia, so I met up with Putin in Moscow (I presume). It's nice that Putin speaks German fluently, so for my dreaming brain it was far easier to have a conversation. It was a private meeting, just him and me. He is very eloquent and charming, I tell you! Anyway, I was pretty suspicious about him, so I thought it's better not to drink the water that he served me. That disturbed him, so I was convinced that he really wanted to drug me. After that he tried to give me a secret injection, he succeeded (he had served in the KGB after all!), but of course I felt the needle. Last thing I did was to get out my phone (my actual cheap Nokia with the crack in the display) to tell my friends, but then the dream ended.
*Update 2012: I've been to Georgia, still in the presidential elections they chose that billionaire over me.
Teach, Learn, Share
Things that I used to teach "professionally" are Human Rights, German and English.
This year (2017) I plan to write a thesis to earn my master's degree in urban studies, still need inspiration for a topic.
Next big thing that I'd like to learn is a Latin language other than Latin!
