CURRENT MISSION

I'm back in Denmark again, trying to finish up my degree and have a relaxing and fun time.

ABOUT ME

My friends describe me as easy-going, kind-hearted, spontaneous and joyful. I do my best to meet new people and friends and I put an honor in keeping everyone happy. I live in a collective in Aarhus where I study musicology and Japan studies at the university.

I love foreign languages, traveling and getting to see new places, countries and people, so when I'm too occupied to travel, I like to hear of the adventures of others.

In my spare time, I try to spend as much time as possible having fun with friends and experiencing different aspects of the cultural life. It might be in the park with a cold beer/glass of wine, inside with a cup of coffee/tea and board games or maybe at home in the kitchen preparing meals together. I love learning new dishes!

Of course I also have responsibilities and duties, as I try to do my best as a bachelor student.
I can also certainly relate if you need to recharge yourself in solitude once in a while.

PHILOSOPHY

If you stay positive and open-minded, you will most likely get the same attitude in return.

The world is your oyster.

Life is a journey you need to take. If you run away you will never grow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been kibbutzing in Israel, host-working in China and visiting friends in Russia before I joined a collective in Denmark and started studying at uni. We have accomodated Couchsurfers in the collective, but not on this profile, and I have never used this one, so that's why I sadly have no activity on here.
I went to Japan to study for the spring semester 2017, and I found this website was very helpful for meeting locals and learning about the culture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I really enjoy sharing the experience of life and culture with others and meet people from different cultures. The reward you get for opening up your house to strangers is much higher than the price you pay.

Interests

I play trombone, piano and i also sing. These days I'm mostly occupied with my job as a church singer and also as the lead in my barbershop quartet, Rababershop (you can find us on Facebook). I also really like cooking and learning new dishes, although I need some Asian recipes!
Aside from that I like art, going to concerts and drinking and chatting over a nice meal.
I enjoy challenging myself personally and socially and collecting as many experiences as I possible

What I Can Share with Hosts

I want to share my optimism, open and calm mind and a helpful hand if needed. I might be a little shy at first but I don't mind helping out around the house and I'm determined to create the best circumstances for a fantastic experience for both parts.
