Hi Guys! We are Jens and Kathrin from the middle of Germany. We've been married for three months, quit our jobs, sold our cars, vacated the flat, and are now traveling arround the World!
I (Jens) am a vegetarian since I was 5 years old, Kathrin only eats meat if it comes from a welfare-friendly attitude.

We love beeing outdoors!!!
It does not matter what the weather is like, We try to spend every free minute on a mountain bike or hiking somewhere out there. It gives strength to feel how the elements interact in nature.
My wife Kathrin feels the same way. That's one of the reasons why we are currently traveling around the world only with a tent by hitchhiking (autostop).

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Me and my wife Kathrin hitchhike around the world. We try to sleep in the tent most of the time, but in cities this is difficult. We want to travel very slowly and close to nature. And especially close to the people! Our itinerary travels through Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, China, Mongolia, China, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, France and back home in Germany.

We try to travel without additional burden on the environment. So we travel slowly. So you don't get to know a country as a holiday destination - you see it's character.
The character of a country is shaped by its people.
We want to meet these people!
Couchsurfing is a very good tool to meet them and be inspired by these people.
I hope that we can give something back with our stories, experiences and feelings.
