About Me
** I just moved to NYC! **
The first time I left the country (USA) was 10 years ago when I visited Thailand. The experience was incredible and I vowed to make travel a core part of my life. The friends that you make, the cultures you experience- I truly think it is invaluable.
In the US, I have lived in Arizona, Illinois, New Mexico, Washington DC, and now Chicago. I have two Master's Degrees, one in Computer Science and one in Business Administration.
Bucket list items I have accomplished:
Hiked the 'W' Trail in Patagonia
3-day 2-night scuba trip in the Great Barrier Reef
Hitchhiked through Eastern Europe
Volunteered and taught English in Thailand
Drove a motorbike from North to South Vietnam
Worked at refugee center in Myanmar
Celebrated Holi in India
2-week trek in Nepal Himalayas
Pamir Highway between Dushanbe - Osh
I wrote a book! Work, Save, Travel, Repeat: The complete guide to amazing budget traveling

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am hugely intrigued by other cultures, and would absolutely love to meet people who have lived in different countries to get their perspective on things.
Interests
First and foremost I love trying all types of food, especially food that I am not familiar with. Whenever I travel I love to explore the whole in the wall places and just order random dishes. Next to that I lead a very active lifestyle. I love playing a wide range of sports, whether it be soccer, basketball, or volleyball. I also enjoy books on Psychology. I think the human brain is an incredible thing and I usually gravitate towards books that talk about it.

Music, Movies, and Books
When I was little I read all of the Harry Potter books multiple times. I also loved Lord of the Rings. Probably my favorite scary movie/book is "The Girl with All of the Gifts".
Biography: 'Three cups of tea". I highly recommend it. It is basically about this man named Greg Mortenson who tried to promote peace in Pakistan/Afghanistan by building schools in poorer communities.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help with English if you would like.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my past experiences as well as future aspirations.
