I'm a PhD student studying freedom and democracy at the University of Melbourne. I'm an open-minded guy who loves to see new things, and to go on epic adventures.

I'm interested in seeing the world and hearing some interesting stories, so if you've got stories, then I have two ears that would love to hear them!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There's no better way to learn about a city than hearing from a local! Simply put, you can't find the bars and the real haunts of a city without being told where to go.

The other reason I am on couchsurfing is because I find the way people choose to express themselves deeply fascinating, and I love meeting new people because it is a way to encounter new ways of seeing the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite book is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I just really liked the way that the book is so full of powerful visualisations and really crazy encounters.

My favourite band is Simon and Garfunkel. My dad introduced them to me at a young age and they've been a constant that I always go back to.

My favourite movie is The Usual Suspects. Kevin Spacey is a great actor.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I met the Secretary General of the UN in the toilet as we were both on the way to speech which he was giving. He hadn't washed his hands yet, so I never got to shake his hand.

I can teach people a little bit about political theory, especially about freedom and democracy.
