I am never very good at writing these things, and I am constantly trying to update and change this.
I am an American Travelling around. I am a Renaissance man, I love researching all subjects but I have papers that prove that I know some Russian and Linguistics as well as Massage. I have also sold insurance and mortgages, computers and tech equipment, and other things. I have studied economics. And to round things off I have also studied Hypnosis. I have been called a walking encyclopedia as I have read about most topics and I try to read a book a day and almost always non-fiction.
I also enjoy movies, theater and music. Yes that means I am likely to see Musical movies. I would see 95% of the movies in the theater if I had the disposable income and time. When it comes to theater I do not get to go anywhere near enough compared to movies, but I tend to love to try and support amateur theater. The shows may not always have the talent of the pros but they tend to have just as much heart, often more. When it comes to music I like most music. Some styles I have to be in the mood for, but I am always in the mood for traditional/folk music, and classic Rock and Metal.
I love to travel but had to not do it for far too long. I like variety, but end up with too much stability. I am into long talks and long walks.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am trying something different and pushing myself into new things. I am also trying to spread my travel money as far as possible, and meet as many people as possible, while trying to find a new income.

Interests

I am interested in many things and love to do many things, I am not much of a watcher except of people in the markets and movies. If can show me new things I will be happy to try (with a couple of limits)

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Illusions by Richard Bach; Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein; Harry Potter series by JK Rowling; Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy by JRR Tolkien
Movies: I love movies I have way to many to mention but Sci-Fi and Fantasy top the list followed by comedy, and Kids Movies.
Music: Since I love folk music some of my favorite bands/ Performers are often unheard of except in certain circles. I do listen to most music and I am always willing to hear new bands and performers especially live.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Threw chance to the wind and went any way!
I originally came to Ireland because I got accepted to school, but at the last minute my financing for tuition and such fell through, but I came anyway. I have tried Work-A-Way with a little success and I signed up here.

What I Can Share with Hosts

For those who are trying to improve their English I am a great person to have help from. I have a degree in Linguistics which means I like to study language. this also means that I am more worried in about how language is used on the streets than what some book tries to say is right. That being said I will still correct major errors and if you are an advanced speaker then I get pickier ;)
I also can cook, but I prefer to cook for 3-6 people it is more fun and fulfilling.
I can talk about most anything.
