Sleeping in the old mansion of an irish called Mortimer, warmed by a peat fire, while our camp was flooded.
Drunk and lost at the back of a taxi in Osaka, watching the city lights streaming by the window.
Crossing the Aden Gulf on a small sailboat, after escaping children soldiers in Erythrea...

Yes, misadventures are often the best souvenirs :)
