CURRENT MISSION

Trying to get around one of the most beautifull/diverse places on the planet (Iceland), meeting and getting to know the people that live there, or in general get to know Iceland (without breaking the bank).

ABOUT ME

I'm a Swiss Dutchman born and raised in Belgium near Antwerp, who has the accent of a regular dutchman, (something which seems to puzzle many Belgians). I have quite a few interests, the main ones are/where (this tends to change): painting, photography, design, almost anything related to technology old or new.
I'm still searching for "a path/direction" in my life, but swaying can be so liberating! At the moment I'm studying IT and do a lot of photography and graphic design in my spare time.

PHILOSOPHY

If one shows you a big or small act of kindness, always try to return the favour. You don't get something for nothing, and even if such an act was unconditional, personally I will try whenever possible to show my appreciation or give something back in equal measure or greater. You can not expect to only get, if you are trying to be a good person you will always have to give back. (without feeling forced, but because you want to.)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only experience I've had is to just drop by unexpectedly at some of my mates places and then crashing there for a night or two, in Holland and around Belgium.

Centres d'intérêt

Travelling! Haven't done that much of it, but it is time to explore more of the world, Belgium is starting to become boring, there's just so much more to see!
Almost anything tech related can spark my interest.
Photography and editing (Photoshop and others).
Drawing/Painting (although I have neglected these for quite a while).
Acting and just being silly (very broad interest).
Having long deep conversations about all sorts of topics (in prolonged and deep conversation everything can become interesting).
Meeting interesting people that share one or more of the same interests, but that's only a plus, if you spark my curiosity I'm sold.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

It's a list so long it would take me a day to type it all, I listen to wide array of music, from an array of different styles, at the moment I'm listening to a lot of U.N.K.L.E. but this changes on a weekly basis. As for movies I've seen so many, that I have unwillingly become kind of a harsh critic of newer films, but I still can enjoy movies, thank goodness. And about books... I'm going to say here is that I need to read more books!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I carry around a camera and quite a packet of practical skills and (I hope) a good deal of knowledge. I myself am always willing to learn and I'm not really willing to narrow down the things I want to learn, if I can see a use for it, I'm happy to learn and will return the favour when possible.
