Travel to live and never stop exploring!
ABOUT ME
I'm Canadian... But live, eat, drink and talk like a Puerto Rican or at least I used to. So infortunate. Freshly graduated. Now studying in Montreal (Home of the Montreal Canadiens!). Grew up in the far far countryside of Saint-Athanase, Qc as a fruits and vegetables farmer. I've been roadtrippin' a lot across Canada, USA and Mexico. Travel is all I talk about and you wouldn't find any better tour guide for your Puerto Rican trip! Too bad I don't live in Puerto Rico anymore. I guess I can be a good guide in Montreal too... It's just not as sunny.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been hosting more than 20 people or group of people in my tiny house in Puerto Rico. I have surfed myself couches in Baton Rouge LA, New Orleans LA, Newark NJ, Buenos Aires, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Moscow, Vienna, Paris, Yellowknife and Iles de la Madeleine. Now I just moved back to Canada where I am getting into Grad School. I will be hosting again by September 2009 in Montreal, QC.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
What makes CS so important to me is its diversity and its charity. In a little town like mine, we don't hear much about the rest of the world. We're way too busy looking at the neighbor mowing the lawn or watching TV shows. We don't go to church neither do we want to hear about others religion. There's no war in my country so don't bother telling me about other countries' wars. People are dying in Africa? We'll give 5$ and be at peace with ourselves. That's how my little town is. We are trying to get the cheapest toys from China but don't want to hear about social responsibilities. How does CS break this pattern?! By bringing together a community with members from everywhere in the world who share their own houses or give their time and energy to other members they might have never heard of before. It's called humanitarianism! I am proud to be part of it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Raft the Colorado River, solo roadtrip for more than 3 months, flew a balloon, swam with piranhas, walked on the Great Wall, circumnavigate the world in 40 days, too long to enumerate... :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Maybe some French, how to fly a hot air balloon, cook Puerto Rican food, how to be a 100% winner at tic-tac-toe... Come and see by yourself!
