I'm a 24 year old college student living in small-town Iowa. I work in Iowa politics and in the non-profit sector, when available. I'm all about experiencing life and getting to know new people. A friend recommended Couchsurfing to me, so I'm here trying it out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to travel the United States in May-June of 2015, and I want to make a series of videos that "capture real, human moments" and "experience life as it happens." I'm planning on meeting many new people, asking them thought-provoking (but not too controversial) questions, and getting to understand different perspectives on life.

I love music, nature, politics, philosophy, and just talking to people! I'm interested in people and listening to their stories and life experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I used to be into punk rock, but now I'm into indie music. I love movies - I definitely own (and watch) too many! As far as books go, I like to read about the real world. I like anything that makes me think (art, music, movies, books, etc.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I work with refugees from Burma and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It has been the most rewarding and difficult experience in my short life. I really hope to continue working with people who face some of life's toughest challenges, like refugees and immigrants.
