About Me

I'm 22, I'm french and grew up in Chartres.
I'm still studying and used to live in Tours for two years, then I arrived in Poitiers.
From there I had the chance to travel for a while, I went to Oxford for few months, in Netherlands for the Ersamus program and then I went in Nantes for a time.
Now I'm in a gap year and I'll be travelling in Argentina (and more generaly south america) for a little more than 6 months, this is probably why you will receive request from me. =)
Some objectives during this travel are to discover as much as I can, to meet new people of course and also learn Spanish (not an easy task)

Also, I'm part of an association organizing a multicultural festival in my hometown. I worked on it during this last few months with my friends who initiated it last year.
Here is the Facebook page of the Festival and the one of the Association (don't hesitate to like it) ;) and if you are near Chartres in May/June, you really should go (objective advise of course^^):

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a useful, easy, collaborative way to travel, meet and share

For my trip, I think it would be the perfect way to discover places and people.
Unfortunately, I only have one experience with CS (which was great!) and I hope to have lot more afterwards

Interests

I'm interested in almost everything if it worth it!! I love to understand everything I can (It's why I ask a lot of questions)

But particularly Music of all kind from Rock/Blues (Arcade Fire, The Who, Ten years after, Franz Ferdinand, JJ Cale) to reggae (Peter Tosh, The Congos) or electro(Chinese man, Fatboy Slim)... List can be long
This is also why I worked on this Festival plus the fact that my friends were organizing and that it was in my hometown.

Then I wish I'll read more (I'm trying) so if you have ideas and advises I'll take them
These are my last reading:
One hundred year of loneliness - Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Money - Emile Zola
Distant star - Roberto Bolano
The hitchikers guide of the galaxy - Douglas Adams
Hyperion - Dan Simmons
Robot series - Isaac Asimov

Also I like to understand and speak about economy, Psychologie, space, politics, sociology...

Music, Movies, and Books

Hard to say, but few examples you should really discover if you don't know it:
Music: Ratatat - LP3, The Black Keys - Chulahoma
Movie: Arizona Dream, The man from Earth
Serie: Fargo, Utopia
Books: Refer to the list in the previous section ^^

In general, I love Science Fiction, for books as well as movies. I am a big fan of Star Wars, I grew up with it and I must admit, I am a bit disapointed by the new one^^
As well as Star Wars, The Lord of the Ring was particularly important when I was a child, I had (and probably still have somewhere) the toys, the video games, posters...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Strange Section, I don't like to sell myself, but I'll try:

Going in Argentina for 6 months whereas I never left Europe before is something pretty amazing for me, and here I am!

Also one thing pretty amazing was to sleep in a fortified castle with friends in Holidays. Actually it was just a "wood castle" for children but a big one and a castle still...I don't know what I would have given for a place like that when I was a child.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can try to teach french for the ones interested.
What I want to learn is Spanish! (so just by speaking with you will be a great move forward) and also what differs between France (Europe) and Argentina (South America), and the idea is not to learn it from books, tv or whatever of course, but by meeting you!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Everything I have, (in material not much, just a backpack).
What I love, like, hate, dislike, understand or don't understand. Friends, Music, Movies, ideas...
