Hi, my name is Jeremy and I am currently hiking the Appalachian Trail. I was formerly stationed in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. As a Navy vet and traveler, I have a really unique experience of the world and love to share my stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love a place to spend the night while hiking the Appalachian Trail as costs can skyrocket the further north I go. I've hiked over 1,000 miles so far and this old veteran occasionally needs a break while the rest of the kids keep going.

I helped in the rescue of Captain Richard Phillips, Maersk Alabama merchant ship captain, while aboard the USS Boxer in 2009.
