About Me

I like food, fellowship, fun … and alliterations.
I’m also a father of two children <7 (most enlightening relationships I have)
I’m a handy-tinkery-fabricaty-inventy kinda guy
In recent years I’ve been on a truth quest. A quest to see the truth in myself, my circles, and culture.
I cherish the gift of someone choosing to share their truth with me. The gift of co-vulnerability in a moment that can bring growth for both people. The kind of conversations that leave you speechless and lighter … damn, I love it every time.

I look forward to THAT conversation with you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people, experience new places, and see new perspectives.

Interests

Truth, intentional food/beverages, healthy relationships, laughing, entertaining/enlightening conversations, and coffee… really… good… coffee…………….or tea.
Not much of a destination hiker but I love meandering and exploring (in a direction is fine).
I like playing sports that I can play with a beer; darts, bowling, pool, corn hole, air hockey, horseshoes, etc.
Fun snacks and binge watching.
I appreciate a quick(dice) or long board game (the ones with 5 pounds of wooden pieces).
I also like doing … nothing (still working on this one)

Music, Movies, and Books

If I had to avoid “I like everything” I’d say folk(of any culture), 90’s rap/hiphop, and I’m trying on Jazz for the first time.
I’m a documentaryoholic (history, self help, food, to name a few) and have recently consumed most of the Marvel Universe.
I’ve enjoyed Harry Potter, Name of the Wind, any audio books by Clarissa Pinkoles Estes, and how-to books (usually permaculture, mycology, earthen structures, and the like).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Chose to see the truth in my life and not stay blind.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy sharing my culinary education with others, spilling the beans of my coffee knowledge, and gently informing people that Doctor Who and Star Trek are the 2 best sci-fi series of all time.

I want to learn ALL the food things from every culture, hear how others have found their true selves (or how they are trying to), and learn what our differences/commonalities are.

I hope to share my life’s journey in a nourishing way (if it is asked for) and give my attention to those who want to share theirs.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m happy to lend a hand with everything from cooking to taking out the trash. Pretty handy with tools if there is a quick home or automotive repair too.
I also like grocery shopping if you want to throw me a quick list… and maybe a car if it’s a big list.
