Über mich
Hi !
My name is Jeremy, I'm a 28 active backpacker from Belgium. After working for 2 years in a big web-marketing company, I did what most people dream about but never dare to do, I quit my job to travel. I had been working and traveling around Australia for nearly 2 years before travelling around South-East Asia for a bit more than 6 months with my girlfriend, met while volunteering in Australie.
I gotta say that Australia It was my first big solo adventure and this is where I discovered CS which allowed me to meet so many Aussies people who brought me so much !
It's quite hard to summarize 2 years and a half of travels and life experiences in a short text but I'll give it a go.
I split my time in Australia between working hard and epic roadtrips around the West coast, the South and eventually the popular East Coast. I met dozens and dozens of awesome people along my way but a key moment was definitely my month of volunteering in a kangaroo's sanctuary. A life changing experience. For the experience itself, but also cause this is where I met Theresa, a shy German girl who has been "enduring" me for nearly a year now..
We since then traveled in Asia exploring countries like Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, Sri Lanka etc..
We then came back home for a few months. I worked on a blog and developed my Instagram (which I'm a big fan of too (https://www.instagram.com/jeremybackpacker/).
We're about to go back to Sri Lanka together for a month. Then she has to go back for her studies and I'm heading to New Zealand for a year at least.
I'm excited cause my favorite part of Australia was the West coast, the wildest most stunning part. So I guess New Zealand should be a perfect fit for me !
About me, I'm down to earth person, open-minded, helpful and keen to share good stories and laughs whilst enjoying a cold fresh beer (I'm from Belgium after all eh)! I discover so much about myself while traveling. That's why I think traveling is the best form of education. I think I can say with confidence that traveling made me more open minded, independent, responsible and I value life and good times way more than before.
feel free ton contact me :)
Cheers,
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
Several reasons, I wanted to try backpackers hostels. I did, this is a intense experience which allows me to meet tons of new people from all around the world.
I also decided to try CS for the first time in Australia, and my first hosts made this a unbelievable experience. I kept in touch with them since then and Aussies people are that kind of people that makes me love Australia even more!
I also think CS is probably one of the way to learn about a city and get used to it (way better than a guidebook or so).
Been living in a sharehouse in Perth for 5 months, I'm very social and always try to make things work. I'm very independent and very tidy person but I like to spend some time with my host when he/she gets the chance to !
I love the spirit that couchsurfing involves and wanna keep spreading it.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Quit my job and my perfect little steady life to travel around Australia.
Being 100% financially independent whilst travelling, left with less than 1000 euros in my pocket and been travelling for 2 years in a half now
Visit the 5 continents by 24.
Backpacking around SE Asia for nearly 6 months
Lehren, lernen, teilen
Beers, travelling stories, beers and beers I guess.
Still learning to surf whenever i get the chance too !
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
I'm kinda easy going, I like to make people laugh, when I get along with someone I like to be sarcastic most of the time. I like to talk about life, travels, different way to lives than the basic studies>job>familly routine.
I'm 27, which means I'm responsible and independent and can pretty much adapt myself to any kind of situations (or I can try my best at least haha). I tend to get along more and more with people around my age or older than with 20's, getting kinda old I guess, what can I do about it ?
I can share beers aswell.
